惧怕与喜乐 – 你们同时经历过吗？
耶稣基督复活的清晨，圣经中描述拜访耶稣坟墓的那几个女人，当她们看见坟墓里面是空的，知道耶稣基督已经复了，她们心里感到非常“惧怕”，却也十分地“惊喜”。多么有趣的组合啊！也许我们会觉得这两种体验似乎不能并存。一个人如何充满恐惧却又喜乐呢？有惧怕的心不是会破坏乐喜吗？喜乐也不是可以除去恐惧吗？相信这些妇女们所经历的是一种奇特神圣的恐惧。因为她们的心中充满着敬畏神的心，她们知道耶稣基督已经战胜了死亡，耶稣的确是上帝的儿子，他是弥赛亚！
当我回顾过去的我，我意识到我也曾经历过这种迷惘和匪夷所思的组合。当我选择献给上帝事奉他的那一天，我心里是充满了“惧怕”和“惊喜”。上帝是如何的地改变我的生命，从一个叛逆期的少年，到一个烦恼多多忧虑不知前面方向的青年，到如今在教会有这福气和殊荣在主日学及理事团服侍，我心中充满了感恩和赞美，感谢上帝对我不离不弃的爱，和他奇妙的恩典与作为。我诚心诚意地祷告主，我愿意这一生爱上帝，敬畏他，侍奉他，遵守主的道，直到耶稣基督再来的日子，得到他的称赞是忠心又良善的仆人。

Dear Ebenezerians
Fearful and Joyful: A Fascinating Combination!
In the account of Jesus’ resurrection, the women who visited Jesus’ empty tomb were said to have hurried away “feeling afraid” but also “filled with joy”. What a fascinating combination! These two experiences do not seem at first to go hand in hand. How can one be filled with fear but also with joy? Wouldn’t fear undermine joy? And wouldn’t joy seem to cast out fear? So this fear that the women experienced must be holy fear; a deep reverence, awe and wonder in knowing that Jesus had actually conquered death and that he is truly the Son of God, the Messiah!
Looking back at my life, I realised that I too have experienced such a fascinating combination of emotions. The very day that I decided to dedicate my whole self to God and his ministry, I was filled with ‘fear’ and joy. I was in awe looking back at how God transformed my life, from a rebellious youth, to a wasted young adult, and now, a servant of God. I can only sing praises of God’s faithfulness and His steadfast love. My prayer is for me to continue to love God wholeheartedly, fear Him reverently and serve Him faithfully.
