信仰声明 . Statement of Faith
5 We believe:
5.1 The whole Bible is the Word of God. Hence it is trustworthy in all it teaches and affirms. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
5.2 God is the creator of the universe and He exists in three co-equal persons as the Father, Son and
Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus is truly God, truly man, born of a virgin and without sin. And He came to earth for the sins of the human race by dying on a cross. (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1-5; Matthew 1:22-23; Hebrews 4:14-15; Titus 2:13-14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15)
5.3 People are born with a fallen and broken nature and can only be saved by receiving Lord Jesus as Lord in their lives. Lord Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. (Romans 3:23; 1 John 4:13-15; Ephesians 2:8)
5.4 In the spiritual unity of all who are born of God and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
(Romans 10:12; John 17:20-21; Luke 6:37)
5.5 In being committed to God’s word regardless of its popularity or prevailing socially acceptable trends. (1 Peter 1:22-25; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Jude 3, John 14:23-24)
5.6 Grace, love, prayers, learning more and more of Lord Jesus, caring, serving, sharing Lord Jesus and worshipping Lord Jesus with our lives are essential components to any viable witness of Lord Jesus. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Micah 6:8; John 13:34-35; James 5:14-16; Mark 10:43-45; Matthew 22:36-39; Matthew 28:18-20)
5.7 In being fully dedicated to Lord Jesus instruction to share Him with all who do not know Him. And we do this with humility and compassion. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 10:42-45; 1 Peter 3:15)
5.8 Baptism symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Lord Jesus and is a person’s public declaration that one has accepted Him as personal Saviour. Baptism does not save a person, but shows the world that you have already been saved. And while baptism is not required for salvation, it is a biblical command and demonstrates your love and obedience to Lord Jesus. (Colossians 2:12; Acts 2:41; Ephesians 2:8-9; Matthew 28:19-20)
5.9 Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is an order given to all believers by Lord Jesus Christ to remember His sacrifice for us and to symbolize the new covenant. The elements of bread and wine or juice are symbols of Lord Jesus Christ’s broken body and shed blood for us. Communion is not a means of salvation. Rather, it is a testament of a believer’s faith in the atoning work of the cross. (Matthew 26:26-30; Luke 22:19,20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29). We welcome all baptised members to partake the Holy Communion.
